Bitcoin slumped to six-week low

According to Bloomberg, price of bitcoin dropped yesterday to six-week low. Selloff of this cryptocurrency started at the beginning of May. As a result, the price of it declined below $7500 level for the first time since the middle of April.

According to Bloomberg, price of bitcoin dropped yesterday to six-week low. Selloff of this cryptocurrency started at the beginning of May. As a result, the price of it declined below $7500 level for the first time since the middle of April.

Yesterday bitcoin lost 7,3% of its value and cost $7495. In total losses in comparison to peak value shown on May 4 are more than 20%.

Cryptocurrency slump followed after one of the most active exchanges, OKEx, suspended withdraws and trade to fix a mistake that resulted in false account balances.

One of the most valued digital currencies in the world is trying to deal with rising attention from regulatory authorities around the globe, which influences its trading behavior.

Yesterday’s selloff took place together with financial markets decline due to fading optimism in regards to relations between the US, North Korea and China.

Ethereum lost 5%, Bitcoin Cash 9%.
