Many companies interested in buying Norwegian Air

As Bloomberg informs with the reference to CEO of Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, many companies are interested in buying airline. Two proposals from British Airways owner IAG have already been denied. Lufthansa AG is planning to submit offer as well.

As Bloomberg informs with the reference to CEO of Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, many companies are interested in buying airline. Two proposals from British Airways owner IAG have already been denied. Lufthansa AG is planning to submit offer as well.

Shares of Norwegian Air went up by 5,8%. Management of the company thinks that Norwegian Air will better fit European carrier, not airline from US or Asia. However, the final decision on sale will be made taking into account price and other factors, such as impact on company's employees.

On Monday shares of Norwegian Air gained 12% after Lufthansa expressed its interest to purchase. IAG announced that it is interested in buying the carrier in April saying that it already holds 4,6% and wants to make a full offer.

Market value of the company at presnt is 12,7 billion krones ($1,54 billion).
