Bitcoin was traded at $6000 on Monday morning after it dropped below this level over weekend, Bloomberg reports. As a result, digital currency is close to show decline second quarter in a row.

Bitcoin was traded at $6000 on Monday morning after it dropped below this level over weekend, Bloomberg reports. As a result, digital currency is close to show decline second quarter in a row.

Price of cryptocurrency was $6148,22 in Hong Kong in the morning. It is 1,3% higher than closing level on Friday. Competing digital coins continue trading at lower levels.

This year bitcoin lost more than 50% already. Among reasons are more frequent thefts and higher attention to cryptocurrencies on behalf of regulatory authorities. In most recent case in South Korea data on addresses of digital wallets of clients as well as on passwords leaked from one of exchanges.

On Friday Financial Services Agency of Japan ordered six biggest exchanges in the country to improve measures to prevent money laundering.
