Total SA raised oil output targets for second time this year, Bloomberg reports. While oil price grew to three-year high, profit of the company increased by 44% in second quarter.

Total SA raised oil output targets for second time this year, Bloomberg reports.

While oil price grew to three-year high, profit of the company increased by 44% in second quarter. Besides, Total enjoys benefits of its new projects in Australia, Africa and the Arctic.

Company however continues implemention measures aimed at improving operating efficiency and reducing breakeven point to stay profitable during market turmoils.

In second quarter Total produced 2,717 million barrels of oil and gas per day setting a record second quarter in a row. New target for growth is more than 7%.

Net income grew to $3,55 billion from $2,47 billion year earlier. Net operating income from exploration and production grew by two times.
