Apple's market value exceeded $1 trillion

On Thursday Apple Inc became first American publicly listed company with market value exceeding $1 trillion, Reuters reports. Shares of Apple grew 2,9% at the end of the day and closed at $207,39. As a result, market capitalization of Apple reached $1,002 trillion.

On Thursday Apple Inc became first American publicly listed company with market value exceeding $1 trillion, Reuters reports.

Shares of Apple grew 2,9% at the end of the day and closed at $207,39. As a result, market capitalization of Apple reached $1,002 trillion. 

Since Tuesday shares of the company grew 9% after Apple reported second quarter results that exceeded analytics' expectations. 

Value of all Apple's shares is now more than capitalization of Exxon Mobil Corp, Procter & Gamble Co and AT&T Inc all together. It accounts for 4% of S&P 500.

Stocks of Apple gained 30% during last year on optimism in regards to new iPhone X.

Amazon.com snaps at Apple's heels having $880 billion market value. Alphabet and Microsoft follow after it.
