Bitcoin fell below $6000 along with other smaller cryptocurrencies amid selloff that it observed this month, Bloomberg reports.

Value of the largest digital currency in the world declined today morning in Hong Kong by 6,2% to $5887. Ether lost 12%. During last 24 hours all 100 digital coins, except for one, tracked by Coinmarketcap.com, fell. Total market capitalization of digital money decreased to $190 billion from peak level of $835 in January.

In July Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies showed some growth among hopes that exchange-traded fund supported by Bitcoin will attract new investors into world digital coins. However, proposal have to get US regulatory approvals.

It is not clear yet what caused cryptocurrency selloff this time, however, it coincided with growing concerns that entrepreneurs that raised funds denominated in cryptocurrencies through ICO are now cashing out.

In August Bitcoin lost about 23% of its value, so yearly losses grew to 58%.
