In June prices for new houses in China grew with the fastest pace in 22 months, Bloomberg reports. They gained 1,2% compared with previous month. Evaluation was made based on data from 70 cities in the country.

As a result, government can initiate additional measures to curb housing prices within campaign that it started two years ago. However, regulation authorities have dilemma: how to restrict price growth without hurting property market amid general slowdown of Chinese economy.

It shall be noted that price gains in large cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, were just 0,3%.

According to experts, demand is too high, and it will be difficult to curb it. Therefore, prices will continue rising throughout a year.

Price growth in June was 1,1%. Values of new houses increased in 65 cities, while in June this number was 63.
