Ryanair Holdings Plc signed its first union contract giving Italian pilots pleasant bonuses such as severance pay, Bloomberg reports.

Airline is planning to copy such a deal across its divisions to solve a long lasting trade dispute that resulted in thousands of cancelled flights this summer.

Deal assumes input of Ryanair into national health care and social-security funds.

Next agreement will be discussed with pilots in Ireland and then in the UK, Germany and Spain.

Ryanair’s shares grew by 1,6% after announcement and were traded for 14,28 euro in Dublin. As a result, this year’s decline was reduced to 5,1%.
