Amazon.com Inc is considering plan to open 3000 new Amazon Go cashierless stores within next five year, Reuters reports.

Shares of US supermarkets Kroger and Target fell by 1-2% after news were published. Amazon’s stocks lost less than 1%.

Currently three of such stores operate in Seattle and more are planned in Chicago, San Francisco and New York.

Amazon Go allows buyers to purchase goods using smartphone application. They have to scan app when enter the store, after that cameras and sensors will track what buyers put into their baskets. Amazon charges credit card of customer after he or she leaves the store.
