Major oil traders see prices rising to $100 per barrel first time since 2014, Bloomberg reports.

Experts in Mercuria Energy Group Ltd. assume that price may rose above $100 per barrel in fourth quarter of this year as the market does not have enough capacity to replace 2 million barrels per day of Iranian oil, which will be unavailable due to US sanctions. Trafigura Group forecasts price growth to $90 by the Christmas and to $100 in the beginning of 2019.

Talks about such price spike were initiated after last OPEC’s meeting was finished, and organization’s members decided that there is not necessity to raise output, in order to restrict price growth.

According to experts, the market is not ready to disappearance of 2 million of barrels per day in fourth quarter.

Brent oil price grew above $80 per barrel today.
