On Friday aluminum prices in Shanghai have been showing losses four trading sessions in a row, and also set the biggest monthly losses since March, Reuters reports.

It happened after China decided not to set blanket cuts on production in 28 northern cities this winter. Restrictions will be placed by local government, and this will ease pressure on supply of aluminum.

Aluminum in Shanghai dropped 1,5% to 14275 yuan per ton. Losses in September were 4,2%. Aluminum in London fell 0,2% to $2026,50 per ton.

Nickel price in Shanghai closed lower 0,5%, as a result third quarter losses are 11,1%. Copper in London shows better results and close to demonstrate 4,1% gain in September.

Meanwhile, mining giants Freeport McMoRan Inc and Rio Tinto agreed to sell majority stake in second largest copper mine in the world to Indonesian mining company Inalum for $3,85 billion.
