US equities ended the trading session lower

On Monday US equities ended the trading session lower. This decline was mostly caused by drop in IT-companies amid rising concerns over interest rates and corporate earnings ahead reporting season, Reuters reports.

On Monday US equities ended the trading session lower. This decline was mostly caused by drop in IT-companies amid rising concerns over interest rates and corporate earnings ahead reporting season, Reuters reports.

IT-companies’ index within S&P 500 lost 1,6%. Growth was observed in real estate and consumer sectors.

It is expected that S&P 500 companies will report 21,6% annual profit growth in average, which is lower than in previous two quarters.

US Treasuries Department informed about closing 2018 fiscal year with the widest deficit since 2012, which is caused by tax reduction and higher payments on growing national debt.

Dow Jones Industrial Average Index lost 0,35% and closed at 25250,55, S&P 500 fell by 0,59% to 2750,79, а Nasdaq Composite dropped 0,88% to 7430,74.

Bank of America Corp lost 1,9%, as it fell behind rivals in regards to loans. Apple Inc declined by 2,1% due to declining demand in China.

The largest growth within S&P 500 was shown yesterday by L3 Technologies Inc (12,8%), as well as by Harris Corp (11,9%).
