Slightly widening of Poland’s budget will not result in country’s credit rating downgrade, Bloomberg reports with the reference to S&P Global Ratings.

Last week the company raised Poland’s grade to “A-”. It was reduced in 2016 due to concerns that the largest economy in Eastern Europe will suffer due to government’s action. However, financial discipline and economic growth overlapped institutional risks.

The government targets to reduce budget deficit to 0,9% of GDP this year, as second year of stable economic growth supports inflows from value-added and corporate taxes. However, economists assume that the economy past its peak in economic cycle earlier this year, therefore, further growth may slow down.

S&P Global Ratings still thinks that institutional risks in Poland are higher than in neighbouring economies.
