S&P 500 rose, Stoxx Europe 600 dropped: Market News

According to Bloomberg, US futures rose, stocks in Europe declined, while Asian shares started to grow. Investors turned their attention to earnings reports of corporations, as well as to next steps in trade conflict of US and China.

According to Bloomberg, US futures rose, stocks in Europe declined, while Asian shares started to grow. Investors turned their attention to earnings reports of corporations, as well as to next steps in trade conflict of US and China.

US Treasuries yield grew to 3,11%, Bloomberg Dollar Spot gained 0,2%, S&P 500 is 0,3% up.

Corporations demonstrate mixed results. General Electric disappointed investors, while results of Pfizer and Coca-Cola were higher than expected.

Stoxx Europe 600 opened higher amid good news from BP and Volkswagen, but then started to fall under pressure of other reports. As a result, it fell by 0,1%. FTSE in the UK gained 0,2%, while DAX in Germany fell by 0,3%.

Asian-Pacific Index MSCI stopped five-day decline amid signs of possible deal between the US and China, even though the US is preparing tariffs on rest of Chinese import. Index gained 0,3%.

Euro lost 0,1% to $1,1361, British pound declined by 0,3% to $1,2757.

WTI oil fell below $67 per barrel. Gold is 0,7% down to $1220,80 per ounce.
