Prices of houses in the UK demonstrate the slowest annual growth in five years, Bloomberg reports with the reference to British bank Halifax that offers mortgage loans.

Growth in three months from August to October was just 1,5%. This is the slowest pace since March 2013. As of monthly gains, it was 0,7%, which is slightly lower that 0,8% gains forecasted by economists.

The reports emphasized the tendency, which already was disclosed by Nationwide last week, when building society published data showing that annual growth was below 2% first time in five years. London market struggles the most, as decade of rising values resulted in serious affordability hit.

Average home price in the UK is 227869 pounds, or $300000, Halifax informs.
