Discounts for London’s houses are spreading away from the center of the city, as prices still high for most of potential buyers, while uncertainty about Brexit hit demand in cheaper boroughs of the capital, Bloomberg reports.

Sellers in distant regions are looking more realistic at the current situation, experts assume. Now pressure tools are in hands of buyers.

Percent of sellers, which reduced selling prices, grew in October compared with the last year in all but three of 33 London’s boroughs. Merton located at southeast is on the top of the list with 46,4% of sellers reducing prices.

During last decade London house prices gained 66%. This growth outpaced wage gains significantly. Now they are falling to record low levels.

The largest decline is still observed at the center of London, where price drop started. Among leaders are Kensington and Chelsea, where prices fell by 8,2%. The next is Westminster (-8%) followed by Hammersmith and Fulham, where prices dropped by 7,5%.
